Dr. Judy Perkins, Prairie View A&M University
As a project administrator that I have worked with for several years, Millissa Mosley has consistently demonstrated in-depth knowledge of sponsored project award operations, research administration, subaward development, audit responses and support, budgetary interpretation and support, agreement interpretation, leadership and customer service. It is through this position that Ms. Mosley has been able to cultivate a customer-oriented environment whereby all faculties that engage in research are successful in receiving effective and efficient research administrative support from her. I wholeheartedly appreciate the fine job that Ms. Mosley does for PVAMU and SRS!
Dr. Christine Alvarado, Texas A&M University
I just wanted to tell you how helpful Shelly Berry Hebb was during the grant writing process and submission for my recent AFRIs proposals. She has always been great, but this round she had to deal with some unexpected events on my part and she was so efficient. We were still able to submit everything a few days early - thanks to her working overtime. Just wanted to let you all know that I appreciate all you do and I especially appreciate Shelly.
Michael Brennan, Conservation Law and Policy
I've really appreciated the promptness whith which David Kirk has responded to invoices that I know, in the broader scheme of things, are pretty minor. I've honestly never encountered such rapid responses, and I've been practicing and invoicing for going on 30 years now. I sure appreciate it.
Dr. Patrick Louchouarn, Texas A&M University - Galveston
You guys are still an awesome team. Always constantly attentive to PIs' requests. It's the customer service attitude that is so awesome. Thank you!
Bev Kellner, AgriLife Extension
Thank you for all the help from SRS for my four TxDOT grants. First, thanks to Mia and Tribbie for their help and patience in helping me get the grants submitted for the RFP in January. And today, thanks to the quick responses from Jo Yanchak, Donald Layne and Rosemarie Arevalo, I was very pleased to be able to pick up the signed copies. I am sure there are others working in the background that I also need to thank, but I wanted to let you know that the excellent service provided by your staff is very much appreciated!
Kenneth R. Hall, Texas A&M University - Qatar
Thanks Vicki~I know our rules are a pain (we need to live with them also). We really appreciate your work and we are lucky to have you.
Jason Woodward, Texas AgriLife Extension Service
Thanks for your help with this proposal and others. You rock!
Karen Vierow, Department of Nuclear Engineering
I wish to extend some words of praise for Ali Wilkerson on her efforts over the last few weeks to help me (and many others) submit research proposals to the Department of Energy's Integrated University Program funding opportunity. Ali's service was FANTASTIC!!! She was quick to respond to requests, accurate in her work, knowledgeable about proposal preparation and polite.
This funding opportunity was a difficult one for the PIs to submit because it required attachment of about 20 files, many that were different from what was required in past years or were entirely new forms. In addition to the multitude of DOE-required files, one of my collaborator's institutions required that she fill out an eight page form to enable a subcontract between them and TEES. Ali helped me understand which forms were for me to complete and which were for her to submit. She laid out clearly the schedule that we needed to meet for an on-time submission, including clear instructions on my needed actions in MAESTRO. Most importantly from my perspective, she worked with me towards successful submission of my three proposals.
At some point, one of my proposals was turned over to another competent staff member. I appreciate Ali's recognizing when her workload had become to large and not endangering my proposals. I have no hesitation in trusting Ali with preparation of my proposals. I look forward to working with her again.
Tamara Lopez, Department of Educational Psychology
I wanted to say thank you to each of you for putting together a wonderful presentation for the DOEd site visit! The visit went very well, and I think we definitely accomplished the objective of showing Alli that Texas A&M has a good process in place to manage awards. It was a great compliment to each of you when she asked if you would be interested in hosting a webinar for her other grantees.
Julie Masser, College of Liberal Arts
As Drs. Joe Golsan and Gerianne Alexander noted you went above and beyond with the Glasscock effort. We are so very grateful! It would not have happened without you!
Sharon Moore, Texas General Land Office
First of all, THANK YOU Angela Gibbs! Your invoices are awesome; can you hold a training for all of the departments that have grants with us? This is how a packet should be put together and I might keep a copy of this to show people when they just aren't getting it.
Nancy L. Granovsky, AgriLife Extension
Mia, Elizabeth and the entire Texas A&M Sponsored Research Services Team~
Thank you so much for being able to complete the final document in short order to make the University of Florida deadline. I know this was not easy, given that the offices were closed over the holidays and yesterday was the first day back for SRS. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the extra effort it required on your part and other team members.
Again, thank you for going the extra mile!
Dr. Robin Murphy, Director, Center for Robot-Assisted Search and Rescue
I'd like you to know that Ali Wilkerson and Darcy Hensley did a great job and caught a bunch of fatal mistakes I made on a NSF letter of intent yesterday - and did so quickly, graciously and over Darcy's lunch hour.
I asked Ali on zero notice right before lunch yesterday to look over a LOI due that day that did not have to go through SRS. She thought she saw a problem and got with Darcy who had looked over two other LOIs. Ali had another commitment and Darcy took over seamlessly and got back to me immediately with corrections. It was not only a great job but that Ali knew what Darcy was doing and could draw on her experience and that they could hand off to each other was outstanding. Thanks to you all!
Dr. Heather Manley, Texas A&M Institute for Preclinical Studies
I just wanted to let you all know that two individuals in your group have been providing outstanding service. Since I transitioned to my new role here at TIPS, I have worked with both Tim Hein and Susan Wilganowski, and both have been absolutely superb.
Susan has just been exceptional at handling the amount of work that has been thrown her way. She is extremely responsive and helpful with navigating non-disclosure agreements, budgets and subcontracts. Tim has been just wonderful in assisting us pull proposals and budgets together and get them submitted on time. He's done this on tight timeframes and lets me know exactly what I need to do.
I wanted to let you know that they are both extremely professional and courteous, very helpful in providing their expertise and making themselves available, and of course help me by making my job easier!
Thank you very much for your outstanding team - it is a pleasure to work with both Susan and Tim.
Dr. Gali Zilbershtein, Energy Systems Laboratory
I want to take a moment and thank you for your outstanding customer service. We greatly appreciate your continuous effort to provide the ESL the support we need. We are lucky to have you as our proposal administrator!
Dr. Betsy Pierson, Texas A&M University
I wanted to take the opportunity to thank you for the exceptional support you have provided me in submitting grant applications. I sincerely appreciate how good you are at what you do, how calm you stay throughtout the submission process, and how well you have helped me learn the administrative side of grant submissions. Grant submissions are cetainly so much more than just the good idea contained within the body of the proposal.
